To complete Task 1, the MEI file from Week 5 was updated to contain metadata for genre and language since such metadata can be very valuable to music discovery. As I learned a bit more about the Creative Commons licensing this week, the license for my encoding was updated from CC0 to CC BY-SA to protect my work and to allow other individuals to build upon the material under the same terms. Lastly, the MEI syntax was updated to reflect the latest MEI standard (version 4). The updated the MEI file can be previewed here.
Unfortunately, I did not manage to get the output from Task 2 working on this page. However, it worked on a different page, outside of the Week 7 folder. Please follow this link to see how the revisited MEI metadata were styled.
